Leo Bourque’s long-standing connection with METS highlights decades of dedication, meaningful employment, and mentorship within the Moncton Pallet social enterprise.
Leo Bourque has been connected with Moncton Employment & Training Services (METS) since 1968. Throughout the years Leo has participated in supported employment in the community that included numerous odd jobs. His most long-lasting position began as a production worker in the summer months from 1993 to 1995 in METS social enterprise, Moncton Pallet, to today continuing to work there as a casual labourer. While at Moncton Pallet Leo had a supervisory position ensuring both quality and safety in the production of pallets and survey stakes. Today at 75, Leo continues to be a casual labourer within the shop when needed and also continues to be a quiet mentor and positive example to his younger peers employed at Moncton Pallet.
